Magic Forest

The breeze plays with my hair. On a breezy overcast October day I find myself
wandering in a forest. With no path leading the way I stop and look around. The crisp air
penetrates the protection of the huge trees. As the smell of pine trees wafts through the forest like
perfume. I feel like I could just sit down under the huge trees and stay there for hours. A unicorn
struts past, its head held high with pride. I gape at the marvling sight. I reach out in attempt to
touch the unicorn, but the little creature is skittish and avoids me. The slender horn perched atop
his head is shining as if fighting the shadows of the trees. The trees, huge pines, oaks, and my
favorite magnolia’s loom above casting eerie light on the forest floor. I notice little fairies
fluttering around on the forest floor. I pick one up to get a better look.
“Its okay I won’t hurt you.” I say. The fairy stopped struggling, my hand is relaxed. The
fairy I was holding has a pointy nose and long periwinkle hair down to her waist. She was
wearing a flower petal dress with tiny pollen earrings. Her tiny wings felt like a spider web made
of silk. They were tightly woven and very soft. Then I accidentally smelled the fairy. “Achoo!”
The fairy smelled like pollin. I listened closely. I could hear the soft humming coming from the
other fairies wings. She had a squeaky high pitched voice as she said
“Hi! I’m Adessa. What’s your name?”
“Hi. I’m Margo.”
“Hi Margo. I’d better go.” and with that she zoomed off. I kept wandering around I could
hear the birds chirping there beautiful poetry under the watchful eye of a wise owl. Just as I
started to get comfortable…. A shadow passes through the sky blocking part of the sky from
view. The gloom immediately changes the mood. Suddenly a huge dragon with a long spiky tale and majestic wings scraping the sky comes landing softly. As I look closer I see the neon blue
scales on his back are slowly getting lighter. Slowly, cautiously I reach out a hand to touch him. I
jump back his head turns to look at me. He nods as if allowing me to touch him his scales felt
like sandpaper under my smooth skin. I feel the little bumps all along his huge back. His eye
alone is as big as a chipmunk! Little animals scurry around the forest floor afraid of the big
animal. The chipmunks have little mysterious markings on there fearless yet fearful faces. The
sun was now setting behind us and the day is coming to a close
THE END!!

How to Kill A Spider

As we all know, spiders are creatures to be feared. If you disagree, well, I would like to
hear your opinions another time. They’re sure to be interesting.
I touched a spider once. It was terrible. The spindly legs latched onto my arm and decided
to make a home there, refusing to budge even as I waved my arm around like it was on fire. It
was as if the spider wanted a friend.
No. The spider most certainly did not want a friend, and I wasn’t about to give him one.
It took a while to muster the courage to kill the creature, but I did it. I should receive a
medal for my troubles. And yes, before you ask, I will tell you my secrets.
First, mentally prepare yourself. It takes a lot of courage to face those things, with their
many eyes and hairy legs.
Second, choose your weapon. From experience, they are extremely hard to kill. They
never seem to stay in one place, and they might even bite you. In fact, if they bite you, run
around in circles for a good five minutes and scream at the top of your lungs. That should attract

enough attention, and the pain should miraculously disappear. Make sure to cry if screaming
doesn’t work.
Next, if the spider still isn’t dead, hide. They have a relatively short life span, so they
should die out before you have to move. Or is that flies…?
Anyways, there’s always the option of simply not killing the spider and becoming its
friend.
But that is the last resort. If you are reading this, you must be as unstable as I am. You
definitely do not need another dead spider friend. I wouldn’t know about those…

The Seekers And The Adventure To The Throne

CHAPTER 1

The sound of cries and screams of terror rang throughout the dark damp streets and trees loomed over houses and small huts.  Blue fire glazed the walls as Ice soldiers marched, throwing people to the side and murdering all who fell into their path. People screamed and cried and begged for mercy. The head soldier told his troops to gather all the townspeople and stand around them. Me and my family grabbed sacks of food and warm wool and fur jackets we were about to leave in the cold night when a herd of soldiers came barging through. My dad, me and my sister ran to the door as my brother and mom had nothing to lose, but us…. We had many things to lose. We could be taken to prison as the ice king wanted all seekers and I was one including my younger sister and father. A seeker is someone who has great power and a gift that can help others, but the ice king wanted it all for himself and for his ice people not fire seekers not earth seekers not water seekers not wind seekers and the most rare of all he didn’t want one single Solar Star alive. Soldiers quickly blocked the path to the old icicle door that had an old shakety window and patched neatly in some places. The commander soldier also none as the top soldier came through the door as his cape wrapped his shoulders and fell behind his icy back. He glanced at my mother and my older brother “which one of u five is the Solar Star” He asked demandingly. He closed his eyes and opened them all black towards me  “U are the solar star the rarest and most dangerous of your kind .” He  shook his head at them. He quickly wiped his hand up and flung it towards the door. Three soldiers quickly and quietly came over and grabbed my mom and brother by the neck and hoisted them out of the house quickly as a thundering storm. My mom screamed and my brother grunted softly as they were taken outside. The head soldier turned back his icy glaze to the three of us. Soldiers started circling us and wrapped our hands behind our backs. When the soldier came to wrap my hands the head soldier said “ Don’t tie this girl up quite yet he said with a smirk appearing on his face. “We are going to have so fun.” he motioned his hand towards the door again. My sister looked at me annoyed and shook her head. She gave me a sad look and my dad and my sister were hoisted outside as well. I heard a wish of flames coming from outside and heard a few screams from the soldiers and new my little sis had burned them but then i heard a nice clean sword get pulled out of its hilt and slashed against my sisters leg and at that point I knew my sister could no longer use her powers for a long while. The captain sighed and looked at me with glacy and darkening eyes looking straight into my stary soul. I finally met his eyes and he said “child…. Or shall I call you Nova. The king has sent me here to gather u and with all do respect I have so far succeeded.” He said with his lips starting to bunch on one side. I started to glow and I quickly without a sound I shot a few beams of light towards him. He was too quick and put a shield of ice right in front of him. “Worth a shot.” I said mumbling under my breath. “So I see child u have desperate to kill me right here and right now.” I nodded slowly looking into his glassy eyes. HE told his soldiers to grab some hot hot water and drench me with it. I just realized that they knew my weakness: hot water… “dang it” i whispered the guard chuckling around me.I stepped back and made contact with the wall. The soldiers gathered hot steaming water. Slowly smirking and sauntering over to me there eyes glittering with a wicking black flare. The soldiers drenched me with it and I fell to the icy ground and I felt my bones go numb and my heart started to race as my back started to crumble. “ so as we see here you are a Solar Star and are to be killed or challenged. U are as rare as the gods themselves and with that said you are dangerous to our king and to your people. You are overpowered and all seekers shall die under the ice king’s command. No one should have that type of power especially a child.“ I smirked up to the guard, my eyes gleaming. “ a guard is scared of a child then.” I tried to laugh, but all I managed was a grunt. I tried to stand or atleast try to struggle up to my knees but then collapsed to the floor. Soldiers laughed and snickered a few said “ looks like the Star queen here is having trouble getting to her icy feet.” they snickered back in return. My eyes glared with rage”lets see who is so scared now” I gathered up the last flicker of power boiling inside of me and i sent out a large glow dust around me exploding all over them shoving them off their feet. A few screams and a few ran out of the house gasping for air clawing at there eyes. “Ah… looks like the young miss had a fiery spirit than I thought better gather more hot water buckets.” he said joyfully and then he froze me with his ice powers. It came rushing over my body in an instant. My eyes blinked from inside the crystal ice that surrounded me. I tried to gather my strength and shatter the ice, but it was no use. I don’t know how to control my power. I don’t even know why I was cursed with such a dang thing. My body started to tingle from the inside my eyes filling with wetness. The ice melted when they brought another bucket of steaming water crashing around me laughing in a harassing way. My body went flat against the wooden floor. The air got knocked out of my lungs and my body hurt screamed in rage against every movement I attempted. Every inch of my body was throbbing with pain telling me to endure it and let it sweep over me, but my mind told me otherwise. Again and again pain was  piercing though my blood and through my veins through my brain. I felt like i might break right there in front of them. My eyes barely managed to open. “ Time for us to get going and time to get this wimp to her cell for bedtime. He said his voice was raising a bit  now. Then they put a huge bag around me they tidied my hands behind my back with a metal wire. They pulled it so tight i felt like my hands might fall of. I gasped for trying and failing to fill my lungs and trying not to panic. Pain flashed across my vision white and black embracing me. they hoisted me up onto their shoulders and brought me outside. The cold frigid air swept over me and stung my legs as we walked along the snow bank. I heard a few gasps and I knew they were all looking at me. I realized no one in my neighborhood knew that I was a Solar Star but they did note that the soldiers were here to seize and capture the Solar Star. I heard a few more people gasp and cry of shame and then everything turned and went down hill. I heard screams and people crying the wind pounding around the bag that was surrounding my head. “OOMPH” I fell into the snow threatening to make my bare legs go numb and the air getting ripped from my mouth. The bag got ripped off my head and felt a sharp knife cut my hands free of the metal wire that intertwined my hands. Light poured back into my vision as my mind tried to assess the things going on around me. A boy around my age was standing in front of me looking like he had the air knocked out of him. His hair is frizzy, messy and as black as the midnight sky  . His eyes are a frigid blue with a grey tint. “ Come on, we need to get out of here!” he said as his breathing came out in little rasps. I stood there frozen, not moving at all. “I plan to save you but I’d gladly leave you here in this frigid place!” he added mockingly. His eyes alight with a sort of daze but yet strong. I finally was brought back to my senses as the frigid breeze ran itself past my neck. “Ok ok….” I squeaked out. “ Let me just…” I never got to finish. He grabbed my hand and led me into the onix black night under the cover of darkness
